I went shopping a while back and have about three new loads of treasure. I have not had much spare time and have not been able to post as many pictures as I should. I have great new butler's chests , armoires, sideboards, federal chests, chippendale chairs (the best) empire chairs , tables etc. all the basics plus some rareaties.

Finally got to go shopping

After numerous delays and interuptions I finally got away on a good long shopping trip. I found a wonderful Claw foot Empire banquet table, a great 18' long persian carpet with a green field, a nice english hepplewhite sideboard, a fantastic japanned cabinet, step back cupboard, and the list goes on. I have posted some pics below with more to follow.

Went shopping broke an axle

Went shopping and broke or damaged an axle on the trailer but limped back home. Despite not being able to fill my trailer because of the axle issue I picked up some nice things. Found a nice eagle inlaid period 1810 Hepplewhite game table along with several antique rugs. Purchased a nice little landscape oil by Hermann Herzog. Picked up a handsome mahogany chest on chest with bracket feet along with a great mahogany bookcase circa 1900 by Berkey and Gay with triple Gothic doors.

Went shopping had a wreck

Well I went off shopping and had a wreck in my big truck and trailer. Not my fault but completely unavoidable. But the big truck is built Ford Tough so as ugly as my front end was I just kept going and managed to bring back some good stuff. I just got it unloaded. Amidst the plunder is a great oil painting signed by Georgine Campbell of a boy blowing bubbles while holding his dog; along with a great couple of french pieces, bureau platte leather top desk and and a small bombe commode. There is a huge American c.1830 country Armoire Linen Press with gothic doors, a Belgian Tapestry, green painted Breakfront, Empire secretary Abbattant, Rugs, interesting small tables etc. Despite the mauled truck it was a good buying trip.
